Winter tires for C43 AMG 2017
Hello everyone,
The original equipment for 19" winter tires is:
Front: 225/40/19
Rear: 255/35/19
I'm think does it work with 225/40/19 for both front and rear, have anyone tried? if not, any suggestion? i was looking for the second hand tires since my lease only 3 yrs and i dont want to spend too much on the winter tires, since i might not going to keep this car anyway. I'm living in Toronto. my fd told me that go to second hand tires warehouse to take a look.

I don't know the math for running the same size front and back as it will stretch the rears and differentiate the rolling distance between the 2 sets. I'm guessing that you'll be fine but I'd be weary as if it's too much of a difference and if you do lots of extended drives, your center differential can suffer. Used tires are a great way to go as long as you find a good matching set.
Mainly I wanted to reply as I didn't understand the first part of your post, but when you began your main paragraph, I had to chime in. The OE run-flat tires you are running will be lucky to see 10,000 miles before they need replaced. And RF tires are stupid expensive for how ****ty they are. So that and the fact that you are required to have like new, OE compliant RF tires for lease return, means that if you really want to save on tire spending over this lease, then put the OE tires in the garage (don't put more than 3-4k miles on them). Best to buy good quality tires that will last and perform rather than replace the pricey RF's that are useless 11 ways out of 10. Good luck

I went with the following 18" staggered-rim setup from
https://pmctire.com/
(see attached PDF for the order and research details)
The people at PMC Tire were very helpful during the research process. Here's some pictures:

it it depends if you are going with runflats or not. Runflat snows with sensors run $900+ for 18s before you are even talking wheels.

Continental WinterContact Si 95 on 18" AMG replica rims. We had some discounts but I believe Simply Tire sells them to the general public around $2100 including tax and tire pressure sensors.

So, about the same price as the PMC Tire site sells the staggered 18" rims with Michelin X-ice Xi3 tries with TPMS, balanced and shipped to your door (see the attached PDF in the posting https://mbworld.org/forums/c450-c43-...ml#post7316581).

I found a set of Pirelli Sottozero winters that are in good shape but the rears are 265/35/19. Has anybody run that size on our OEM 19s in the back, I know that pushing it
for width on an 8.5" wheel but thought I'd ask.

According to the "wheel-rim-size-calculator" page, a minimum 9"-wide and maximum 10.5"-wide rim is required for 265/35-19 tires, with 9.5" being preferred. My 19" OEM sedan's rims are 8.5" wide. The "tyre-size-for-rim-size-width-calculator" page indicates that a 255-width tire is maximum for an 8.5"-wide rim. Could be that other models (coupe?) have a wider OEM 19" rim, in which case the 265/35-19 tires may work.
