ecu tune

Can you guys post the tunes you have the price and how it feels. I am debating over black series body kit or tune honestly my car feels fast enough, especially in the cold. Another thing to clarify is cold air intake, many say it brings hot air. But as I’ve been reading many say it’s “bad” for your engine by bringing dirty air. You’re just removing the intake part so how it bad, the filter is still inside the manifold right? It doesn’t make sense as it kinda is double filtering

Not sure how serious of a question this is... But I went with a simple OE Tune for 95 Oct fuel as that is in my local area plenty. Tune helped it feel a smidge better all around, could be placebo haha. About the CAI, I don't know anyone that does it by adding restriction by using two filters, one outside and one inside air box. usually you remove the inside one and just use an external filter. So you would not be "double filtering" the air. There is no air filter inside the actual intake manifold itself.

For the design MB used on these years, with the 3.0L and 3.5L M272 the intake design is not horrible so most have gathered no significant advantage to a CAI. I have concluded the same. Unless you try to go full bore with exhaust, headers etc you won't notice much from a CAI imo.

just wondering, I wouldn’t do it to be honest doesn’t look nice, but I’m very interested in tuning, I found someone on eBay offering to tune with 19hp gains and 20tq

Keep in mind that those tunes replace the original Mercedes software and consider what an indie's car software would do to all mechanical parts in order to squeeze those 20hp.

ebay tunes are ****

buy eurocharged or kleeman or OE tune

Cold air intakes are no good on our cars, they are already pretty cold. Not worth it.

As Adi-benz has said before, get a tune from a reputable tuner. OE, Eurocharged and Kleeman are all great. I personally have a Eurocharged tune that I got on a group buy discount, around $500. OE is having their end of year sale for a similar price.

It feels a little more peppy with the tune, but don't expect miracles. I personally like having the option of 93 and 100 octane tunes, with the 91 being what I use 99% of the time. You can definitely feel the difference between 91 octane tune and the 93 octane tune. I haven't tried the 100 octane tune yet, but I plan to soon.

I'd say it's money well spent but now I'm itching for better suspension and sway bars. There are other ecu coding you can do to make the transmission sportier too, but with all this work it makes me wonder if I should just save the money and upgrade the car to something that is actually supposed to be sporty, like a 340i or S4.

Up to you, if you are deadset on keeping this car for a while, then I would recommend a tune from any of the reputable tuners.

I decided to get a tune(OE) because I got a tune in my Focus St(turbocharged). It was a very impressive boost. Because the Benz is naturally aspirated the gains are more modest. For me, it was still worth it. A bit more go and fun. You can feel it. A bit better mileage also.

don’t leave us and go to bmw, I feel as if this car has potential but it’s just too damn ****ing ****ting *****ing expensive! A turbo for a freaking bmw is $1000 one for a C300 is $6000!

I’m being told with his tune I’ll get 30hp/25tq plus 15 from running e85 lol even though I run that all the time. He has 2k feedback and is very trusted all of it being positive. Reviews on his work is crazy but let’s say I don’t like it, I can easily get eBay involved and get a refund. It’s just should I trust it?

The car has aged so incredibly well tbh. It still looks amazing, it sounds awesome with the x-pipe and it has been extraordinarily reliable. Just lacking in power, agility and driver feel, which are basically the three fundamental attributes that a sporty car does well.

The ECU tune and suspension modifications should help a little though haha

check my other reply I made, anyways I noticed first gear doesn’t take off, it goes limp for 3 seconds then takes off. I’m thinking definitely throttle body as I have intake manifold malufunction and my fathers telling me that’s a 4 hour job to take out the manifold and repair. As stupid as it sounds I purchased a pedal commander today so if it breaks on me, I’m stupid. It comes next week and I’m thinking maybe it might snap the throttle body or something

Mine has the de-tuned M276 engine (248 HP). Kleemann claims an increase to above the 305 HP that the C350 has. I use 94 octane gas exclusively and they allegedly tuned for that. Cory at Kleemann figured in the 320 HP range with the tune. The engine from Mercedes must be significantly underrated as it feels more like closer to 375-400 HP range. I previously had a tuned Porsche Macan S (3.0 litre twin turbo) that was putting out very close to 400 HP and 450 lb. ft. of torque. The current C300 feels faster than that (although I know I/m comparing a small SUV to a 4-door sedan).

No I have a 2013 C300. Same M276 engine in both except Mercedes de-tunes the engine to 248 HP for the C300 from 305 HP in the C350. Kleemann allegedly removes the Mercedes restriction and programs the software to match the C350 then applies their tuning software over and above that. 248HP-320HP with just a tune in a naturally aspirated engine is basically unheard of. Way better throttle response as well. Love it!!

2008-2012 C300 have a 3.0 liter engine, 228 HP. 2013 on have a 3.5 liter direct injection engine, 248 HP. Not the same.
