Burmester High END 3d Surround System
Hello...
While Configuring the GLE 2020 on the website i noticed that there is not only the option to upgrade to Burmster (+1k) but also to a high end system which is like +6000 Euro.
Anyone has any opinion on what exactly it is and if its worth considering?
Thank you,

Burmester High-end 3D is 25 high-end speakers with front bass and active subwoofer, total 1590W.
i Will go with the high end! But it Will be may 2020, so i hope someone else before choose and leave a review of the system.

Hi Skizz was the upgraded stereo worth it? I understand you lose the MBUX assistant but not sure how useful it actually is? I assume you can still use the “Hey Mercedes” commands?

Thanks for your quick response. I’m coming from a Volvo xc90 with the B&W system which I thought was good for an oem but if you say it’s only marginally better then the standard Burmester system I won’t bother. I hope the Burmester system is better in the GLE then it is in my GLC because I would rate it lower then the one in the Volvo.

The wife's E53 Coupe has the standard Burmester sound system and after listening to a number of my reference Apple Lossless tracks via Apple Carplay and on an SD card as well as streaming at 320 kbps I have to say that I'm very impressed. Very good sound stage and separation with perhaps a bit too much low end even with equalization set flat, though it is very clean.

I haven't listened to the same songs across the mediums but they all sound similar sound-wise. Music streamed from my iPhone via Carplay are the same Apple Lossless files as the SD card. Low band width Pandora streaming is noticeably worse sounding with very little sound stage while DI.FM (EDM) at 320 kpbs is very clean.

Haven’t tried BT yet, used the cable and Apple CarPlay for DI.FM and Pandora.
The latest BT iteration in the Merc and the newest iPhones have better bandwidth. I don’t notice much difference between it and wired listening with my B&O headphones.
