1997 E320 W210/ 722.6 Trans Wiring Harness

Hello All,

I recently had my 1997 E320 go into limp mode. I have found that the wiring harness from the TCU to the tranny does not have any current going through the wires. All 16 of them.
I want to change the harness but am unsure how to go about it. Any suggestions?

Are you sure it's not just the connector that is the issue? tranny oil leak?
What codes were scanned?

A gaggle of MB's
Please see stickies in W210 forum at Benzworld - replace tranny adapter connector (genuine MB or MOPAR only $14) - and pull and clean Transmission Control Module in engine compartment with 1/2 can of MAF cleaner..

The oil that leaked into the original TCU was very little but I did get another that was completely dry and in good shape.
I didn't know you could change the plug..Does it just unscrew apart?

I personally have never had this issue with the TCU, however, read here and post 16.

Thanks
Why do you need to replace the plug on the harness?
Use electrical contact cleaner.
