Should I pick up these c63 mufflers.

I found these at the local scrapyard and have been wanting to add the c63 mufflers since having my resonator deleted. My only issue is they look really worn. I am not sure if rust or anything can be an issue with these or is it just cosmetic and the sound will be the same.

It looks decent from the photo. It depends how much they want for it and make sure there are no holes in the system. If there are holes, walk away.

There were other pictures that showed different angles, I didn't see anything glaring. How would you inspect a muffler without being able to put it on only visually? They are asking 600.

The only way to check used exhaust system is really visual. No holes and no broken welded seams. $600 is way too much for a used one with such a small market to sell to! I would not pay more than 200 for a used one, after all, you are taking a chance also. Plus you need to pay for installation also. My motto is if in doubt, walk away.

I thought the price was a bit high as well but this is the cheapest set of c63 mufflers i've seen. On ebay and other marketplaces (even this marketplace) I see them sell for close to 1000 used. Are these things like the holy grail of mufflers?

I want to put them on my 2010 e550 coupe (like many on this forum have done). It probably will fit on the 2016 I know it fits on my year make the only modification is to the bottom of the bumper if you want to use the stock c63 tailpipes. I think I may keep the stock e550 coupe tail lights however and see if they can modify the pipes somehow.
