How much would windshield replacement (glass + labor) approximately cost on a 2019 S560? My insurance premium increased by $600 per year for that coverage. So, thinking how much it would cost if done without insurance. Brooklyn, NY.
Fidelity Road Hazard and Tire Premium Plus protection includes windshield replacement. It is just a one time payment for the policy, so no worry in "premium increases" here is some pricing below for a 2019 Mercedes-Benz S560. My contact information is tgibson@highline-autos.com or (855) 924-1333 if you have any questions or would like to see the example contract that explains coverage.

2018 S560 here... A dualy in front of me threw up a huge rock and absolutely screwed my windshield. Safelite couldn't replace it because they don't have the equipment to recalibrate everything after, etc. So I have to take it to the Mercedes Dealership's Collision Department. It's $4,000 all in to replace it. They luckily have the part and am dropping it off this weekend for the work. What a mess it has been though.
Safelite billed my insurance company $1212.10 for a new winshield in March of this year, including calibrations for all driving aids, auto high-beams, etc.
Does it matter that they don't use aftermarket? They wanted 1k out of pocket for oem. Something about having the mercedes signature on it. I'm just having them repair the chip

No cost figures because in Kentucky state law requires that your mandated insurance include glass replacement. Obviously it's cranked into the premium.
Several years ago, we had driven to Detroit for an appointment, and it gave me an opportunity to go to an area MB dealer for wiper replacements. In the process, the tech let the wiper wand slip from his hand and it broke the windshield. Their insurance covered it, naturally, so cost didn't enter into it. Thing was, the new OEM shield was shipped to them after we left town for home. That dealer then shipped it to our Cincinnati dealer who probably had an outside firm install it, but the dealership did the calibration. We didn't have to pay out $$, just had to put up with the nuisance.
No two stories are the same!
Is rock damage to your windshield covered under collision or comprehensive?
Rock hit was comp for me.
And I worked with my insurance company (USAA) and got MB glass. Just a quick phone call. Safelite did the rest. Took a couple days for it to ship in. I was hundreds of miles from a dealer so very happy Safelite was able to do it, and do it well.
As another data point, in February my 2015 550 windshield replacement with OEM glass was $2,982. Fortunately my coverage with Nationwide is full windshield replacement, no deductible, with OEM glass.
It cost $4K+ IF you have the heads up display (HUD) option.
These cost more possibly due to an extra layer required in the laminated glass so the projected image has something to reflect back on. Common to most, the cameras need to be re-calibrated due to required removal and re-installation of them when the windshield is replaced.
Some policies will offer to replace the wiper blades at the same time. Our insurance balked at the $300+ cost of the heated wipers so we literally would have to get a letter from our lawyer that would be more than the cost of the wipers... but not by much.
