24 AMG performance exhaust

Does anyone know for sure that MB has deliberately toned down the AMG performance exhaust? I previously owned a 21 AMG GLC43 whose exhaust was much louder than than my 24 GLE53. Or is it the difference between the 43 and 53? I enjoyed feathery my 43 to get a really loud fart! but I can't get my 53 to get the same sound of exhaust note, only a squirt! What gives?

pretty sure due to regulations, stock catback is very restrictive in both performance and sound. See below:

Like others mentioned but 43 is meant to be louder than the 53 that is correct, the system in the 53 is also more complex such having the 48V system which could affect the sound as well. Another thing is E 53 being an E-Class, executive class the sound is lower as a result as well. You can compare them here:
GLC since you had a GLC:

CLE 53
Do you think that leaving the valves open all the time would make some improvement? Considering getting BurgerTuning exhaust valve delete adapters

It will at low RPMs, valves don't fully open even in sport+ stock, it only opens up fully at high RPMs but the moment you shift the car closes back down the valves.
