If your windshield camera is fogging up , this might be the solution!
Hi everyone.
Since we got into the winter season my front windshield camera started to fog up. i was thinking that this was normal but its not.
So , how did i fix it?
The problem is caused by the camera hood. Its only 56 euros and 32 cents.
There is probably a heating element thats under the camera hood and if it breaks down (somehow mine did) your camera starts to fog up.
Changed mine and there is no problem as i can see.
Wish this info helps people here which is dealing with this problem.

Is the OP’s car out of warranty? If not, then why not let the dealer fix it? Just asking.

Dealer is pretty confused and not very helpful unfortunately. It is still under warranty. I have made contact with MB and one of their "Executive Referral Manager" will supposedly be in touch with me (and the dealer) to expedite a fix.

productions after 2023 and 24 does not got a lens hood with a heating pad. They got heaters integrated in the glass. Cars that got manufactured in 20 - 21 - 22 got it.

As a work-around what I’ve heard is that taking the lens hood off the car and baking it helps it “gas off” the plastic or something of that nature and solves the problem. Something similar to that is what the dealership near me has been doing since they are unable to get a hold of the new lens hood.
Absent the part, they’re trying it on my car now. When I get the car back we shall see if it is a success or not.
