M276 3.0 TT Intake & Downpipe Choice

Talking about S450 Coupe 2018 (European model, M276 3.0 TT, M276.824), I have been considering a few upgrades including intercooler kit, intake, and downpipe. Reasons for writing here and a thread regarding the intercooler kit choice can be found here

Just like with the Intercooler Kits there are quite a few Intake Kits and Downpipes from various manufacturers.

Intake Kits
1) ModalWorks (enclosed): $1,528; https://modalwork.com/products/m276-...41365346418828
2) ModalWorks (opened): $975; https://modalwork.com/products/m276-...39640068620428
3) LogosEngineering: $745; https://www.logosengineeringmotorwor...old-air-intake
4) MST: $578;

5) BMS: $479; https://burgertuning.com/products/bm...mg-dual-intake
6) CTS Turbo: $408; https://www.ctsturbo.com/product/cts...e400-and-more/

I personally am fond of the LogosEngineering as it moves the air via the shortest path, however I haven't found any feedback on its performance and there is not much on the website regarding performance, unlike say ModalWorks. I don't much like the open systems in the middle of the engine bay as I believe to a large extent the point is to minimize IAT.

Downpipes (with cats only)
1) CTS Turbo: $850; https://www.ctsturbo.com/product/cts...h-m276-engine/
2) TA Technix: $765; https://www.tatechnix.de/tatechnix/g...6-engines.html

3) RedStar: $2400; https://redstarexhaustusa.com/merced...ho_400cpsi_4_5
4) Logos Engineering: $1,595; https://www.logosengineeringmotorworks.com/c450-c43-e43
5) Logos Engineering Monster pipes: $1,350; https://www.logosengineeringmotorwor...-monster-pipes

Any experience with any of the above?

I have the ModalWorks fully enclosed intake and I can say the following:

It is very well made and high quality.
Their customer service seems great so far.
I don’t have numbers, but there is obvious less restriction.
They are pricy.
they are absolutely stunning looking.

I added a piggyback power adder at the same time so I can’t tell you for sure how much performance I noticed from the intakes alone.
But I can say that I am not disappointed in them and I would buy again 10/10.

As for downpipes I have MW catless so I can’t comment.

Downpipes Decision
I have decided to skip the downpipes and simply remove the OPFs and put straight pipes through there. The reason is that in my country some quite restrictive laws have recently been passed and I don't want to mess with them even with aftermarket catted downpipes. Another reason is that they are all made for the C/E/GLC models and I have no idea if they will fit. I might be able to put somehow downpipes with cats from S500/550, S560, S63, (doubt about the v12) downpipes with cats but I haven't researched that yet.

By the way I have added the S63 Coupe pre-facelift (from the m157 5.5 engine) exhaust on my car - literally bolt on (excluding the flaps - left them open as one are electrically activated and other vacuum activated).

Once I make the modifications I will report.

Intake Update
Literally all intakes are made for C/E/GLCs with these engines and I would need to work with one of the manufacturers in order to really fit one. I haven't mentioned, but there is also a Weistec one which is quite pricy and it won't fit my car most likely either.

My decision was to go with the ZAC Motorsport upcoming intake; once they develop it and once I figure out a way to fit it in my S coupe I will report. This is their intake: https://mbworld.org/forums/c450-c43-...ming-soon.html
