Active Blind Spot Assist Inoperative

Dears

I have a 2013 SL500. I am located in Saudi Arabia and I faced the following message " Active Blind Spot Assist Inoperative".
I wanted to share my experience in solving this issue.
When the engine starts, the car will run a check. This check will illuminate the red triangle for 1 second. If the red triangle does not flash for one second then, the system will be Inoperative.
I also want to inform that the Tire Pressure Control Unit is located above the rear axle as shown in the attached picture. Sometime the water may damage the control unit. I opened the control unit and cleaned just in case.
I took off the mirror by simply pulling it from the outer edge, and then exposing the diode which emits the red light and cleaned it with Alcohol and checked its pins for any damage. I also pressed it the diode downward. It worked and the red light was functional again.

Please see the pictures and good luck.

I cleaned this diode and pushed down downward.

The diode is located in the silver plastic compartement.

You can remove the miror by simpling pulling it from the outer edge highlighted in yellow.

I cleaned the tire pressure control unit from salt deposits.

The control pressure is located above the rear axle.

The "active blind spot" feature works from rear bumper radars that soak in water straight through their harness connectors. Use a scanner to confirm these modules are total loss.
Good job on TPMS Module

TIP while you are working under the car: service your main GND CHASSIS STRAP to keep the power of your chassis electrical glitch free. Licated at the gearbox junction to engine.

The first screen capture shows STORED fault - Go ahead and reset these then scan again for a fresh capture.

The second screen-cap shows a valid active fault with the solderless DCU. Replace or repair that door module. The mirror itself should be tested but likely ok.

Same issue is baking on the opposite side door.

I see your STORED faults are actually TRANSIENTS...

It's caused by rear bumper radar modules soaked by the leaky harness. Need 1 or two module and perhaps oxidized harness.

The second fault is caused by loose DCU connection. Module is located inside the door behind the plastic paneling.

I can't swear your chassis is 100% similar... on w212 it's quick easy access from the back of rear bumper where radar modules get sprayed directly by rear wheels. They are concealed by road projections buildups.
