Oil pump solenoid - disconnect?
I am intrigued and willing to try it. I looked in engine bay and in W463 M157, I can't see or locate the solenoid at the 7'o clock position from crank from above or from the side. At a minimum, front skid plate needs to come off or radiator fan needs to come out.
If you have success locating and getting access to connector, post up here.
I am a fan. Car seems much smoother. Transmission seems to hold gears in comfort just a bit longer which is very nice. No idea about long term effects (so much literature on this subject on youtube), but I definitely subscribe to the pleasant butt dyno effects of this simple mod. I plan to keep getting my oil tested through blackstone so I will keep an eye on any change.

Happy driving - cheers!

I switched to 5-40 and has never happened again.
My guess is that the higher flow at idle and thinner oil may have thrown the oil level sensor.
