Pirelli Scorpion All Season tires

Has anyone tried Pirelli Scorpion All Season tires 110H for their EQS SUV? This seems to have more tread life than the OEM GoodYear Eagle F1 Summer tires.

I replaced the 21" Goodyear RunOnFlats with 265/50R-20 PIRELLI SCORPION AS PLUS 3 XL tires. These tires have an initial tread depth of 11/32" and an 800 treadwear rating. After 17K miles I still have over 9/32" tread depth remaining. I am expecting to get at least 50K miles out of these tires which is twice as much as the OE Goodyear tires. The longer life and lower cost of these particular 20" tires represents about a 75% savings compared to running the original Goodyears.

In fact my EQS SUV (2023) came with these tires installed.

However, if you plan on getting these tires, then I recommend getting the Run-Flat version (they come in both Run-Flat and non-Run-Flat versions). The reason for this is these tires have a foam lining (for noise suppression), and tire sealant canisters (TIREFIT) do not work well with this. (I found this out the hard way.)

Update:

I installed Pirelli Scorpion A/S tires. Based on the spec, I expect the tire to last longer than GoodYear. Ride is very similar, the EV efficiency might have got a slight hit 5%. Overall good!

On the surface that sounds like a good deal. I checked the price of getting the same tires that were delivered with my EQS SUV at Tirerack and found that the TR price was about $500 less for a set of 4 tires compared to the special at MB.

You're a smart shopper and it's great that you're posting the comparison. I agree that all of us should comparison shop with the traditional nearby tire centers. I think you tend to save with the more expensive tires like Michelin and Pirelli.
