Traded my 2020 S560 today in on a 2024 S580. Went back and forth for months on this vs an i7, or keeping my S560 which I still really love...but ultimately I was presented with a deal to trade out that made sense so I took it.
The car has an interesting history, it had 560 miles on it and it was sourced out of a dealer in Kentucky. It is one of 6 identical models that were used by Mercedes to drive the F1 Mercedes team drivers around during the F1 race in Miami in May. This particular car was used to drive Lewis Hamilton, which is pretty cool. I was given a small rebate for the mileage on this as a program car.
So far I LOVE it, you wouldn't think a car could ride and drive better than the S560, but it does. Its so incredibly silent, I measured 57 db on the stretch og highway at 70 MPH I always test cars on, my S560 registered 59 as did my LS460L. Car is optioned almost exactly how I would have optioned it except it doesn't have a trunk spoiler and it has the 19s vs the 20s. I will order and install the spoiler.
Have a LOT to learn with the car...hopefully I will enjoy this car as much as I enjoyed the S560, it was a phenominal car.
Some pics, I will post better ones once I get it all dialed in and all. Goes in for clear bra in a week and window tinting and I need to ceramic coat it, etc.
And I found this in the glove box from the F1 race
PFL205.064 with M276.823 (Oil pump solenoid defeated)

Congrats and interesting to hear Lewis was in the car, will be kind of cool if he left his signature there as well. Enjoy the car and glad the specs are the way you want it. Looking forward to your follow up reviews.
Thanks all! Just got it washed and clayed and hit it with some quick Gyeon Wet Coat to protect it until I can get it coated. I will take lots of good pictures tomorrow for sure.

Not sure, I'm concerned about them getting pitted and scratched etc...I am having the full front clearbra done and the windows tinted.
The deal!
So the MSRP is $140,200. I paid $120,500. That includes the $5,500 AMEX credit, so $14,200 off or ~10% off then the AMEX rebate. Not as killer a deal as I would have wanted, but they did also trade me out of my S560 clean inclusive of the sales tax savings. The payoff was $50,500 and they gave me $48k so with the tax credit of $2,880 I was positive about $380. That was a very fair price for the trade, the highest I had been offered anywhere was $45k. I will also get a $3,100 refund for the extended warranty I bought for the 560. Trading me out vs turning it in was important since I was over miles and would have had to buy runflats. If I swap out of runflats again I will save them to put back on at the end.
So all in the payment for 36 months is $1,866, I could have saved a few dollars by going to 48 months but I figured this gave me better flexibility for when the refresh comes.
Considering I was only able to get a couple dealers to get me under $2k and that was with turning the 560 in which would have cost me another $3k this was a good deal.
Congrats! I almost went with the Selenite (spelling?), a very good color with this car.
I'm in a rush and saw the other post, in comfort/seat there should be an option called automatic seat adjustment, that has to be enabled to get easy entry/exit. I don't think it says it specifically, but I remember it needing to be on. I'm very old and pathetic; could be I don't remember it correctly?
Stunning. They did a great job detailing. I love that color.
Thanks! That was after me detailing it for hours lol, but they did a pretty good job too, Certainly for a vehicle delivery that had been shipped and sat for a couple months they did an excellent job,

Thanks! The exclusive nappa is an option I really wanted but figured I wouldn't be able to find.

I keep misspelling it too, but you got it!
Yeah I just found it on the C300 loaner I had but its not on this car.
Yeah, the “standard” system is pretty great imo. I love it. I had it fiddle with it quite a bit to dial it in. There seems to be some redundancy and overlap in the sound settings via the custom sound setting (that four-way adjustment) and through the normal bass, mid and treble settings, not to mention the different custom bass settings. In other words, there are three different ways to adjust the bass or two different ways to adjust the treble, etc. But once you find something that works for you, it sounds amazing.

I gotta say the base Burmester sounds much much better in this car than the 222. I’m not even going to reinstall my sub.
Yeah I am going to take some time playing with it. You need to listen to actual music after doing the custom setup profile and go back through it again...I have the bass sounding good but vocals are a little muddy, have to go make some adjustments again.
