I am trying to change from the factory 19" rear wheels to 18" wheels on my 2019 AMG C63 S (W205) that has the bigger RED calipers. Only the REAR wheels though, as I know there's no way the front will fit 18's. I only need the rear changed so I can get more tire options back there. The front's are just fine at 19" for options for me.
Has anyone already found 18" wheels that will fit over the rear red calipers?
The final outside drive diameter of the tire can be the same with the 18's as it is now with 19's on it. I'm just trying to get 18's on it to open up tire options. I'm drifting the car, and when you go through a dozen tires a weekend the cost adds up fast. There are way more drift tire options for 18" rims, and can get well under $100 each for the good stuff. With 19's I'm paying $250 a tire right now, and that sucks ballz.
I found a couple racing rims that look promising. One is the Enkei PF01EVO but apparently it's a Japan special ($$$$$), and tough to get here, and cannot be returned. The other is a Konig Heliogram but the offset is only 35mm compared to the stock 56mm, and a 45mm offset wheel is already cutting it close. Neither one of them can give me the inside diameter measurement to check caliper clearance.
Right now I'm considering ordering one of the Konig Heliogram wheels just to see if it'll fit, and return it if it doesn't. But I'd rather know if someone else already found an 18 x 9.5 wheel that fits. Either way, I'll keep this thread updated since no one else seems to have shared this info yet.
Thanks in advance to any information or direction!
