M276.8 Turbo - Intake manifold exploded

Damn, the turbo is only 0.8 BAR above ambient pressure.....

WTF happen here ?

I am surprised at the big plastic engine cosmetic cover also got damaged by the explosion ...
There is no translation feature, so I do not know what he is saying...

This seems to be from an S class, S400 W222. The oil disptick is in front and the plastic cladding in the engine bay is more complex than in an E-Class

It has happened before for the NA engine as well (from Reddit -> https://www.reddit.com/r/Justrolledi...t=share_button)

It could be gasoline fumes (injector leaking?) in the intake ignited during start up? I know I have seen it before for the NA, and it was discussed in a thread here in MBWorld.
