Air Bag Off

I've just noticed a that the centre console just under the hazard button lights up with a warning. Pass 2 Air Bag off, is this normal or do I need to turn it back on. If so how do I do that.

I don't believe the passenger's airbag can be manually turned-off, it is automatic based on seat occupation sensor.

You need at least 20 pounds to be sitting on the passenger seat to activate the airbag.

These are from the operator's manual for a 2004 SL500. Technology may have changed since then, so read your manual.
