OE Radio Quits Randomly...

So the original radio/stereo w CD player has been working awesomely since it rolled out da Mercedes showroom back in 2003. Clean and LOUD sound, no buzzing or vibrations. Today it was working normally on the way to work, 8 hours later, the Mercedes logo panel lights up for a few seconds then shuts off. This may be the excuse I was hoping for to upgrade to a basic Bluetooth player but still puzzled why no warning my stereo may done for. 2003 E500, 75k original miles. Thoughts?

2003 E500, new everything!

So the stereo is back, playing and sounding as before. Started the car after leaving work for the day - CD began playing, picked up right where it left off 24 hrs ago. Nothing to see here! 👀

Advanced PITA....

this issue may be associated with headunit internal issue. Other fiber peripherals may also help stop the boot process when unit shuts down after logo.

It's a real busy system connected to multiple networks CAN + MOST using copper and fiber.

Feel free to scan the chassis and read status of MOST peripherals while it's working.
