Weird light issue

Over the weekend we were at a friends house who were hosting a reception. We parked our car on the grass along the driveway with other cars. About 90 mins after we got there we noticed the rear passenger brake light was lit. Nothing on the driver side and it was bright red as if the pedal was depressed vs soft red as if the lights were on. I tried locking/unlocking via the remote and that didnt do anything. I went to the car and noticed the front passenger lights (not the headlight) we also illuminated.

I got int he car, started it and waited a minute or two before shutting down, getting out and locking it. The light issue was still there and didnt resolve until we drove hour a few hours later.

It hasnt happened since but wondering if anyone has seen something where 1 side of the car had its exterior lights on?

sounds like you accidentally switched parking light on but may be indeed some glitch

Maybe the European street parking lights. Many European made cars have this feature and they still have them when they come to the US. Look at your light selector switch. The “P” choice turns them on.

Thanks for hints - Ill check later. The lights should just be on Auto and as mentioned it hasnt done it since. Maybe my leg moved the switch or something
