The rubber seal that seals the interface between the windshield glass and the wiper assembly has deteriorated. We have the single wiper arm and the cam/drive, as it comes through the windshield, has a rubber seal surrounding it.
I cannot find a reference, so I thought I would ask my fellow W210 brethren.

Part located in subgroup 82. Bis Code 809 is a '99 AMG. Ab Code 800 is 2000 and up.
Car is 210.074. Start search with your VIN for least confusion.

OP, I'm in the San Antonio area but I will be passing through Houston in a few weeks to attend a family reunion up in the Jasper area. I will see if we can arrange a meet and greet for a meal on my way up there.
I could have just given you the part number but I wanted you to see the parts site and at least point you in the correct direction so you wouldn't get too frustrated.

 

I am in the northwest of Houston. Woodlands, Conroe, Magnolia etc. would work.
