HELP IDENTIFY SOUND PLEASE!!!

Hello all,

I am having this whine noise coming from my car when rpms increase, typically I hear it above 2.8k.
I cant figure out what the noise is for the life of me.

I first thought might be e a vacuum leak, but that checked out.
Car is still giving full power and boost no codes stored.
Then I thought maybe its the idler pulley or alternator belt. I took it to a local performance mechanic he had a quick listen and said it sounds like the driver side turbo bearing. I asked if its something we can fix, he said if you no longer under warranty I would just drive it (Wtv that means)
Ever since I got this car its been nothing but problems, and honestly if this is another expensive fix, it might be time to move on. I really love the car and dont want to so hoping this is a really easy fix .

Here is a clip of the noise, couldnt find a better way to attach the video.

THANK YOU!

Can you update to youtube and link it, Google drive compresses the audio.

That being said, sounds very belt related, not turbo, will call in the M276 expert : ) @CaliBenzDriver Sorry to bother you, do you mind giving OP a hand?

OPTIONS MAY BE...

Ok I got your video file... sound taken from inside.
It does confirm there's a light whining.

AMG driver cabin is sound proofed... the next video should be on the dirty side of the firewall where noise is produced.

You say "no big repair" and local indy said "drive it as is"... nothing wrong with that ✌️

let's confirm it's not a dry water pump else it will be expensive.

What is the current mileage... low or high?

Essentially indy said....
issue is still early and will mature to then become a necessary repair.

Check your basics...fluid colors /level.
Read temps and pressures.

++++ PLAN B.... FREE FIX ???
You can try to give it better oil than currently to see if noise responds to improved lubrication.

That is nothing, the M276 can easily last triple that amount and more, M276 is one of the most reliable MB engines produced.

+1: exactly

Find an MB specialist that you trust can focus on your needs.
Get him to do some regular maintenance items now then more expensive repairs later... the blow will be less painful.
