*HELP* P0562 System Low Voltage E63 AMG W212 2010
Dear AMGers
I have identified a P0562 permanent error code that prevents me getting a SMOG in CA (thug...)
The error was never notified until the SMOG as the Check Engine light was never On.
I have worked with a Mercedes specialist to replace:
1/ the main battery
2/ the alternator & everything related
3/ the aux battery was replaced 1 year ago
And all the codes were cleared & reset after the repair.
I have driven 1000+ miles afterwards & the specialist's MB software cannot see any error code.
But when I get to the SMOG station, the P0562 code is still there!!!
Currently I don't know what to do as there is nothing else to fix!
Has anyone experienced the same issue before? If so, how did you resolve it?
Alternatively, if anyone knows an 'Electronics Expert' in the Bay Area CA, please let me know.
Much appreciated for any advice!

This sounds like the serious yoyo "drained by driving" - You have experienced the premium version below 10V optional with limp-modes popping any time on longer drives
-- Don't drive past 30mn without parking to restart
-- Drive with headlights:ON to lock 14.xV steady
Go ahead connect a Launch scanner to get a comprehensive chassis report.
Your chassis seems to feature the stock voltage issue that may benefit from experimental procedure (ALT-LIN) once we can see how your chassis's running.

This sounds like the serious yoyo "drained by driving" - You have experienced the premium version below 10V optional with limp-modes popping any time on longer drives

Thanks, however I experienced no issues and no abnormal voltage at any given time.
Plus I have driven 4-5 hrs continuously without any issues.
I also want to know which module this P0562 code is from, any ideas?

You have some electrical shorts. I would inspect the harness/grounding points it's going to be a pain in the ***

uhh just do your best I guess, look for any breaks in the harness, jacket, any grounding straps that are broken/disconnected. I'm not good at electronics.

One of the computer modules (ECU or SAM's) is seeing 10v only.
We can guess rear SAM else things would be more wild but perhaps ECU since the "SMOG Check" station won't pass inspection.

Zero parts!

Your local Mercedes factory trained dealer is extremely familiar with standard "low voltage" issues on your chassis. They can deliver exceptional customer service.
Technician will quickly replace new batteries, new alternator and a set of new modules.

You can drive 5Hrs without "XMas tree" lights is very positive. You have not experienced the whole gamut of your chassis disliking 10Volts.
One of the computer modules (ECU or SAM's) is seeing 10v only.
We can guess rear SAM else things would be more wild but perhaps ECU since the "SMOG Check" station won't pass inspection.

However no one is able to tell where this code is, so now I am going for partial plan B -> get the dealer to confirm what exactly the issue is, then I will think about what to do next

This repair is not a straight forward clean-cut service.... it requires elimination by trial and errors.
Don't get frustrated with slow progress.
#### EQA-250 plugged in near HK Island.

I sent the car to the dealer and the dealer found there was no code in the system... so I passed the SMOG without finding why it was still there before...
I guess I might just have to go through enough cycles before that code would disappear. But I didnt know how many cycles...
