Traction Control and Airbags lights on
Traction Control and Airbags lights on
Greetings,
I recently installed new motor mounts on my friends 2013 C250. To remove/install the passenger mount I ended up disconnecting the steering rack. When I reinstalled the rack, I did not get the steering rack shaft back into the part of the steering wheel shaft and my friend free spun the wheel and damaged the clock spring (my fault). This was the point where the traction control and airbag light showed up on the dash and the message center said left airbag malfunction. I replaced the clockspring but the traction control and airbag lights are still on in the dash. The steering wheel buttons/horn are working as they should. I found a video on you tube saying to recalibrate the steering position sensor by starting the car, turning the wheel from lock to lock 2 times and then driving the car for 2 min but that did not work. Does anyone have any suggestions on what the problem could be?
Thank you.
