Any Experience With Removing Rear Seat Lights?

Thanks in advance for any insight.

No wonder why the semiconductor industry is raking in crazy profits.
Nothins is as simple to fix as it used to be back in the good ole’ days where all you needed was a screw driver and a spare bulb

I guess the lighting system in the S is pretty sophisticated (gesture controls and whatnot), so it kinda makes sense compared to, say a Civic. (I hope the MB gods don't punish me for mentioning the Civic)

Oh this is bringing up nightmares. When I had my previous S I commented one time in this forum that it had the upholstery of a Civic. A month later I was rear-ended by a guy and caused $30,000 damage to my car.

My apologies if my comment was somewhat insensitive.

So my ambient light is malfunctioning more and more frequently and it has become a major annoyance as of late.
It's not just the lights that go out but the A/C as well, which is really weird, and it's a big problem until it resets itself after about 10 min.
I think I'll have to bring it in for diagnosis.

I got warning message as soon as I felt the nasty bump and with the ambient lights out, I didn't get any air.
I tried to reset the vehicle by pulling over, get out of the vehicle and locking it - waited 3-4 min, no dice.
I had to start driving again because it didn't feel safe pulled over to the side of the road.
I kept the windows open for about 10 min or so until I could find a good place to stop and wait out for a while but then it started to blow cold air again!
Ambient light didn't come back on btw.
I drive the car maybe once every week or two, and this issue has happened every single day I took the car out on a drive.
Normally happens when the car's been sitting for a few minutes in the sun after a drive. The initial cold starts never gave me problems.
And yes, it's a major inconvenience when the AC goes out in the summer

Now that I know this, I'll have 1 ordered and replaced than to make the hour-long roundtrip to the dealer
Thanks for sharing the details. I just wish my fix was this simple.
