Fuel light was on, but still had some left. If my math is right, I still had 2.3 gallons in the tank. If I had rolled in on fumes, the fuel would have literally taken the whole hundo and I wouldn't have been able to get my cigs!

 

If it were a Cadillac Escalade or G 65 AMG , you would have already reached that point

Is 98 the octane? Best we have here is 93.

I recently paid almost $6/gallon for 93 octane and well over $100 for a fill up on the Cayenne which has a 25 gallon tank.

 

I'm there too, with my S Class! 24 gallon tank rolling in on fumes needs this many Ducats!!

Yes, 98 is the highest avialable and not available at all fuel stations. 98 is RON rating European, in USA eqyuivalent rating 98 RON is ony 93-94 octane.......... because USA uses different method of measure.
My car fuel tank sticker is 95 RON.

 

Yes we use Research octane plus motor octane and divide by two

 

I filled up yesterday afternoon. I think it was $4.08/gal, but w/ $0.30/gal discount. Put just a hair over 20 gal in the tank (20.018 to be precise). Checked my fueling log, and that's the most I've ever squeezed in there. MPG was 20.1 for that tank. Not my best performance.

 

First $100 top off in the S212/213 . Last week a gallon at Costco cost me $5.53.
