SL/R232: trickle charging my SL 55
trickle charging my SL 55
I'll be leaving for a 3-week trip, and want to leave my SL 55 connected to the trickle charger. I also like to leave my indoor cover on. Can I leave it charging with the trunk lid closed? Could I also do this when we're gone for 2 months during the summer? Thx!

Yes of course. The lid has a rubber seal that shouldn’t damage the charger cable. Just make sure the trickle charger is not taut at any point. Depending on how far the outlet is, it might make more sense to have the actual charger brick in the trunk or outside the car on a table or something.

I’m using an orange extension cable. No issues. I don’t know how to measure the draw but my electric bill did not see a significant change. I haven’t seen any fumes and the brick is cold when I disconnect.
