2016 G550 seat belt retractor issue
Hello all,
I am new here, I tried searching for "seat belt retractor issue", but found nothing for the W463. If there is a thread for this exact problem, then I apologize and would be glad if someone could link it to me.
Here is the issue - previous owner got rear ended, all seat belts fired. Locked like a rock. I sent out the seat belts to be repaired in a reputable shop. Yesterday they arrived.
Both front seat belts would not pull out, there is maybe an inch of movement and then they lock up as if you're tugging on them too fast. Both rear belts would pull out, until I connected them to the SRS connector, once disconnected they also no longer pull out.
I am wondering if this is because the SRS fault in the vehicle and a simple reset would fix this issue or did the repair shop mess up?
