Endurance Diamond Plan - Washer Reservoir Claim Taking 5+ Days? (2012 S550)
Dropped my 2012 S550 Base off at my local Indy shop on Tuesday for some standard routine maintenance (coolant flush, brake flush, belt/pulleys). While it was there, I had them look into a massive windshield washer fluid leak I noticed recently.
The mechanic got under the front driver-side wheel liner and confirmed the actual reservoir bottle is cracked and leaking everywhere. They quoted about $500 for the fix (parts + labor).
I have an Endurance Diamond Plan (exclusionary policy) that I bought back in December, so I'm well past my waiting period. The shop filed the claim with Endurance on Tuesday, but it's now been 5 days and we are still waiting to hear back on the final approval.
For those of you running an Endurance policy on your W221:
1 Is a 5+ day turnaround time normal for them to approve a basic claim like a washer reservoir?
2 Have any of you had trouble getting a cracked fluid tank covered under their top-tier Diamond plan, or should this be an easy approval since it's an exclusionary contract?
The car is just chilling at the shop right now while we wait for the adjuster to give the green light. Any insight on your experiences with Endurance claims timelines would be awesome.

Rodent damage is NEVER covered by an extended warranty... But comprehensive coverage will in most cases.
If it is taking five days your service advisor is not chasing after them.... Which is required with certain extended warranty companies. Endurance being one of them.

There's plenty of W221 dismantled in the US that getting hold of a replacement bottle should be child's play. Even FedEx could have delivered in 5 days.
Is the shop making stuff up? Not necessarily. But the only way you can be sure is by doing your own diagnostic work, then have a known trusted shop confirm the diagnosis and perform the repair (if you're not confident in doing it yourself).

I haven't had any issued with Endurance , your shop has to just know the exact things to say to get your claim approved.
