Selenite Grey Metallic made me change my choice w/sienna brown
I was at my local dealership today as some of you already know I'm in search of a CPO '24 S580 and was searching all around for a white color like I have now on my S560, but was blown away by how great the selenite grey metallic looks! I live on a long gravel driveway so this color will help shield away the dust, etc, but I never thought I would like grey until yesterday. It had the nut brown interior which I love since I have a King Ranch F250 with somewhat same interior color. With that being said, I'm going to finally change colors after 15 years of diamond white and go grey!
When our 7 year old Designo Grey S63 AMG was totalled 9 mos ago, Selenite Grey was the only color I really wanted on a new car and after 4 mos of searching, finally found one. It was worth the wait.
Well I just got done a few hours ago purchasing a 2024 CPO selenite grey/sienna brown interior w/AMG, warmth and comfort, 3D, rear spoiler, 4.5 rear steering, 20in wheels, and a few other goodies! Traded in my 2019 S560 diamond white and will pick up tomorrow morning after a 4 hour drive! Super excited to get to enjoy this newer model!
Selenite Grey is Mercedes’ “generic” color but it looks good. My first choice for my AMG GT build was selenite grey. It just works well.
I live on a farm with a very long gravel driveway so this will help cover up the dust maybe more than my white color, but I'm just tired of always owning white cars so time for something different and hopefully I love it just as much 3-4 years down the road.

I know this a plebeian GLE compared to the S class but agree that Selenite is beautiful color. We went to the dealer to look for a Twilight Blue but when we saw selenite we knew it was the right choice.

Speaking of GLE, despite how popular this colour and how good looking this colour is, I am not sure why MB discontinued it on the 2nd facelift GLE/GLS V167/X167 https://mbworld.org/forums/gle-class...de-here-2.html

I like the selenite, but I do miss the white my S560 was. What I didn't like about it was the yellow/cream tone of it being the Diamond White, the new Moonlight White is a brighter pearl white and is better looking IMO. Honestly I think just bright, crisp white looks great...I was behind a C300 the other day in just regular white and it was sharp. The white stands out and looks really clean, looks great on the 222 IMO.
The selenite always looks good though even when dirty, and it does have a great green/blue flake.
