I get you. The cars with the Aerodynamics package (rear flick covers for the vents) have the blank plastic plate without pattern. However, the standard cars have a mesh "grid" pattern to cover the vents.

I find it strange they didn't make it have a pattern for the Aerodynamics package versions. You can place a black mesh grill inside them to make them look better. And if you're crazy, you can cut the vents out and the wheel liner so the rear tyres can be seen haha but your mpg will drop 😆
I always wanted to do this modification to my one but I don't want to destroy something. I have a bad habit of accidentally breaking things.

Thats a nice info - i am not so familar with “normal” 205.

Have you a partnumber from this oem mesh ?

If i ask mb parts guy what have i to say from which car it is ?

i would buy it & testing how it looks.

no i am not crazy enough to take the saw and make real vent.

I'm guessing there's an actual reason for it, such as making it flat and closed may create less turbulent air behind it instead of having holes going nowhere and air getting trapped. The aero package is wind tunnel tested to improve the aerodynamics of the car, not just decorative pieces like on the standard car.
