Happy to be back with a GLC63S 2019
Hey guys . I'm new to the GLC world. Can I get some opinions on some things? If I wanted Carplay for my GLC should I go to the dealer and request a software unlock ,or go with an aftermarket unit. I wanted it to look stock with the standard screen so I dont want to change that. What did you guys do? Also considering a lowering module. Has anyone used MBoit dlc module? Thanks

GLC 63 S AMG
I got one of the boxes that adds Airplay to the stock screen. I can activate the box by holding the home button for 3 seconds, though it will auto start if prefer. It works for the most part, my only complaint is the sound from Airplay when streaming to CarPlay is very low in terms of volume. I have to have the volume at 100% all the time and it's not all that loud. In the alternative, you can still use Bluetooth simultaneously with Carplay and the volume will be as loud as normal. That being said, you lose messages being read out and directions over the speakers if you care about that.
Taking out the center console is super easy, you can install the box in 10-15 minutes.
