2017 E43 light cranking sound
Hi everyone, I have a 2017 E43 AMG estate, and I've been having issues with some sounds that sound like is coming from the dash. Everytime when i make a turn (not locking my steering wheel but just turning halfway) over 30km per hour, I hear this cranking noise. I have been to the dealer, local mechanics, and driveshaft mechanics, and they all couldn't find the cause of the issue. The driveshaft mechanic said it didn't sound like anything to do with the driveshaft or steering; it sounds like some plastic cranking sound. Mercedes suspect is behind the dash, but wants 4.5k to diagnose. If anyone has any idea what this issue is, please update me. This has been happening for 2 to 3 months, but the noise hasn't worsened or had any effects on driving, just annoying.

From 8 seconds onward like you mentioned is very likely the wastegate, you sometimes hear it close to the centre armrest storage area, sound is there usually first thing in the morning and gone when warmed up.
