Replacing main battery

2017 E43 AMG Wagon - Japan Import
Replacing main battery
Been having trouble with my dash cam shutting off when parked and upon investigation, my main battery is showing a low voltage with a meter, 11.5v when parked.
The screen has also 3 or 4 times a week been showing the "start engine, see operators manual" warning/
So i'm going to purchase a new battery next week.
Been trying to find info on whether it needs to be coded or reset when replaced, does it?
I have a Launch X431 Elite 2.0 if it needs coding, where do I find what section/listed under?

If your battery is OE, you've done well to get 9 years of life from it. I replaced my '19 G550's battery at 42 months. No special procedure was required. My replacement battery was a quality aftermarket brand, not MB genuine OE. It's still fine after 42 months.

No special anything for e63s battery replacement.
Of note, our cars are H8 not H7 like most online sources say.

I did the battery swap a few months ago - 2021 E63. Dealer parts store suggested use an H7 and I got an 850 CCA Interstate Battery from Costco. Worked just fine though I did 1) trickle charge to max before install 2) did a reset of the battery monitor with a Foxwell scanner. Smooth process no issues. And all small electrical gremlins I seemed to be having simply went away.

My G550's battery did not require registration, but things are always changing. You could call a MB dealer, ask for a new battery quote + installation, and ask "does that include registration?", and see what he says.
