Valvoline restore and protect
Is this safe to use in my m113 anyone had any luck, bad luck? it has worked great for me in the past with other vehicles. My m113 has 156,000 mi on it I would like to cycle this product through a couple times any recommendations?

i wanted to run RAP on my MB but i dont think they have 40-weight oils on that product line. in other words they do not meet the MB approved 229.5 spec! albeit this is for the M272 engine. i am unsure what MB specs are for the M113!

You don't have stick to 40 weight oil. There is plenty of 0w30 or 5w30 oils on 229.5 list. More important than weight is additive package oils is carrying.

0w-30 unlike 0w-40...
To help keep engine sludge-free do not use high-calcium API-SN on long burnt-oil service interval. Use better oil on shorter intervals.
thinner 0w-30 viscosity results in lower oil pressure to cool hotter pistons conversely...
thicker 0w-40 viscosity results in more oil pressure to spray cool pistons at normal driving RPM.
Effective cooling prevents oil from burning into drafty piston grooves.
