Nope, that didn't work unfortunately. So I changed it back to how I had it.

OMG PLEASE GIVE US BACK THE OPTION TO TURN OFF THIS INFINITE SCROLL NEW FORMAT BS IT SUCKS SO HARD

You should be able to turn off both Infinite Scroll and Related Threads from your user control panel.
