SL/R129: 1991 500 sl driver side mirror clicks (self adjusts) had to pull # 8 fuse to stop it

1991 500 sl driver side mirror clicks (self adjusts) had to pull # 8 fuse to stop it
mirror is trying to self adjust but seems to go to far than just sits and clicks and i have to pull the #8 fuse

mirror still clicks after self adjust
when you start 91 5oo sl mirror clicks after done self adjust

Check the connection between the door and the mirror. Lots of dirt and verdigris here. The picture is mine before my repair.
