2006 SL65 ///AMG - GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN: 2005 E55; 2002 ML55; 2001 CLK55; 1992 BMW 850i; 1991 M5
Sl 60 ///amg Hunt!

How difficult (impossible?) would it be to find an SL 60 AMG for sale? I understand these were never "officially" imported to the U.S. and the few that are here were individually imported by their private owners. Anyone out there have any idea how many of these exist in captivity? Anyone aware of an enthusiest dealer who has acquired a few over the years? I.E. if you are looking for a rare split window vette, you at least can find specialty shops who acquire and restore these things for collectors. Any info greatly appreciated.

Why not import the car from Euroland? It should not be too expensive compare to the price of the car.

Wow

And yours is even BLACK... I am now SOOOOO jealous! (but in a good way) A black R129 body style SL 60 ///AMG is my ultimate dream car. I love my CLK55 and I have an old '92 BMW 850 that I have 'warmed up' a bit. It seems like the SL 60 is the perfect blend of those 2 cars. You may be right... it may be that I need to shop over seas and pay to have it shipped over here. That might be a bit more pricey than my 'discretionary' budget allows. I am hoping that someone here in the states has one that they decide to part with in favor of a new SL65 or something similar. We will see what I find if I keep 'beating' the trees so to speak.

I have done some research after SL60:s, and I found 4 of them in Germany (www.mobile.de) and 3 in Sweden. Of these in Sweden only one of them was black. A 1998 with 5436 miles on the meter. The SL60 was never sold in Sweden so it must have been imported from a another country. The price is $57676 and that is about the same for the others (silver) cars in Sweden. About the transport, I don´t know what the price is, but some here in Sweden make a profit of getting old cars (vetts) from the states to Sweden, so I assume it works the other way around also.

Well, here is a picture of it. Let me know if you are intrested.
