SL/R129: SLs in LA
On the first day, in a 1 1/2 hour walk from the west end of the strip to Rodeo Drive I counted 12 R129s, 15 R230s and 5 R107s.
I was suprised in some way of how many R107s and R129s are still being driven with pride in such a ritzy area.
More R230s come out at night.
By compairison I saw relativily very few BMWs. Quite a few Porches.
Was impressed by a few Lamoborginis, Ferraris, Auston Martins driving by. Beautifull exhaust notes! Like music.
Looking down on the strip from our 12th floor Hyatt balcony ... I was suprised how there seemed to be almost no street racing action away from the lights. All so calm and sedate.
With the freeways all being jambed with cars. I guess people must either go out to the country to enjoy the performance of their cars. Or those cars are never driven anywhere close to their potential.Probably saw as many
