Were CD Players standard on 1997 SL's?

We have a 97' SL 320 without a CD player, but it seems to me like everybodies SL here, even ones that date back to 1990, have CD players.
My question is did all SL's come standard with CD players or were they options (esp the year of 1997)....
Thanks

Certainly here, they were not standard. Keep in mind that in 1997, CD changers were still quite expensive and people still used to mess with Compact Cassettes...

Are you serious blueSL?!

My 94' LS400 had a six disc.. but it was in the trunk!

But yeah, it was an option as per KBB.
