SL/R129: SL rag top question

SL rag top question
I have a '95 SL320. When I lower the rag top, the "connector" on the top of the windshield POPS somewhat violently. Actually shakes the windshield. Is this a common problem? Is there an adjustment that can be made to the way the pins fit and release from the holes?...Thanks for any help, Chris in Portland, OR

2002 SL500
The "Pop" Is Normal I've Been Told
My 2002 SL500 also "pops" loudly at the attachment on top of the wind shield when I retract the soft top. The dealership and several folks on this board say it's normal. Does anyone NOT get this loud pop?
