When ever I see a older series E-class, other MB class cars or pre-R129 SL I always think ... what class!
Not many people stare at us when we are driving the R129. Just as I don't really do more than notice the older MB classes.
The MB star means something to most people. But I doubt if many know what the R129 is. That is being one of the MB flag ship models.
Most people also look on any convertiable with favour as well.
What image do you think is projected from the R129?

If you drive it for the image you have missed what it is all about! Drive it for the quality, excellance and performace that are built into this fine automobile. Sadly, if Mercedes does not get their current quality problems fixed soon, the next generation may never know what driving the STAR in really all about!!!
