1995 SL500 feels like going to stall
has anyone ever had a problem like this my battery died after I replaced it I was driving and the car and it started running rough it stalled and I couldnt get it started I waited 45 min then it started the next time I took it out for a spin it was running perfect then it started running like it was going to stall after about 20 min drive

Have you had the heads pressure tested? It's possible that you have an ingress. The symptoms are similar to ones that I had a long time ago. Water in the cylinders will stop them from working smoothly. The 'rest' period is consistent with the water relaxing back into the sump. After which time you can start again, but the running will eventually get less and less, until either the head cracks, or one of the pistons bend.
First thing I would do is check the battery is the right spec (probably is), then get the heads pressure tested asap. If the heads are ok, get the timing checked, along with the plugs etc...

Do you still have the original engine wiring harness? Take a look at the wire insulation under the wrapping... you may be appalled. Failing insulation of the engine wiring is the cause of many electrical gremlins for the 93-95 models.
