I just saw this car, and never saw an R129 with the new front bumper and bi-xenon headligths!!!
Anyone have done it?

Hi there,I have seen a similar conversion done in Germany,but it is an SLR type front to the R129..Which means new bonnet also...
But I don't know if this is the way to go with an R129..might as well buy an R230..or an SLR!!

I bet it cost a fortune to do, new bonnet, bumper, wings, grill, wiring & possibly more...

Mickey,I see you are a biker as well...When I lived in the UK,I always had bikes..My latest and wildest one was a Yamaha VMax dynojeted stage 1,laser exhausts,deristricted,running approx:170hp..Before that I had a Ducati 916..Before it a Ducati 900SS...But my biking days are over now..wife and 4 kids demand safety...so only cars or boats..
Go on our site in Yahoo: slclubbeirut..to see the conversion on the R129 into an SLR...and many other pics of our Sl's...

There used to be a company in the south of England doing this... I got a quote about 2 years ago to convert mine and it was £12,000! (about $22,000). You could do it in stages but none of it was cheap. I figured if you sold your car and took a loan you could afford to buy the real thing, if that's what you really want...
