SL/R129: San Diego Coast Drive
San Diego Coast Drive
The weather in San Diego was absolutely gorgeous this weekend, and my wife and I took a drive down the coast. We started south on Highway 101 at Encinitas and stopped for lunch at the Poseiden in Del Mar. I got my cheap thrill for the day when the valet parked our SL in the primo spot right next to the restaurant entrance. I'm biased of course, but the R129 is one fine looking automobile. The meal was excellent, and we continued south through La Jolla. Lots of runners and bikers to avoid due to a triathlon that was going on this weekend. We ended up at Mission Bay and took a few photos. What a great weekend.

Nice pics of your car and California....
San Diego for your info is on the same latitude as Lebanon[Med] so same weather more or less...Temp here is still between 70/85F..but nights are cooler..in the 60's...
Enjoy the good weather as long as it lasts...

Thanks, Dafi. I didn't realize Lebanon was at the same latitude as San Diego. We are both truely blessed with excellent weather. Makes driving our R129s that much better. It's top-down weather all year here in San Diego, although I'm glad we've got the heated seats. I don't know how Chris B and the other cold weather SL types do it.

Had to wait till I moved back here,to the sun and warm beaches..
Mind you,I live in the mountains at 2500 ft altitude and Nov to Mar are pretty cold up here..55 to 70 average..That's why I need the H/Top for those months and to protect the soft top from heavy rain and grail sometimes....
