SL/R129: Changes of Oval Shaped Side Mirrors?

Changes of Oval Shaped Side Mirrors?
Hello, I'd like to buy oval shaped side mirrors.
But if I would buy them, can I change them? And cut in mirrors side repeaters? Or should I buy oval shaped side mirrors with already installed side repeaters? It's very expensive .... I suppose it would be more cheaper to buy simple oval shaped side mirrors and then just cut
the shells of mirrors and install repeaters? Does anyone have such type of experience? By the way
at german site classic-roadster.de you can see
such type of operation. But I'm not sure. Is there ready

Hiya,you can buy new style mirrors with blinkers and their base..
It is an easy fit to replace your old style mirrors.
I think any body shop should be able to do the job..It is not complicated..
Most of my friends here have done it..
I did'nt because I still have the old style bumpers on mine and the square
mirrors suit it best..
Round mirrors would suit the new style body kit..post 98..

I have just bought a set of oval mirrors to upgrade my car, only the plug connections are different. I wondered if anyone here new the pin config for the new shape units, may be there is a converter plug? Knowing MB, I doubt it!
