2001 dodge ram for work 1994 SL500 for fun
So, how fast is a 1994 SL500
Last weekend I got my 1994 SL500 up to 135mph and it was still accelerating nice, but I backed off cause the soft top was making a lot of noise and I didn't want it to blow off.
How fast have you gone? What is the cars top speed? Is there a limit where the computer will not let the car go faster?

All mercs are artificially limited to 155mph..It's a friendly agreemenet between
Merc,Audi,BMW,VW to limit the speed of their fast cars at 155.
Delimited ,the 500 can top 170 mph...

brave guy! I can't imagine what the cabin was like!!!!Its not that easy to find a stretch of road where you can do that kind of speed over here... they throw you in prison for it as well. But I've never done more than 125 in any of my cars... mostly because I get too scared. I know....
While we are on this one, the 500 is the first car I ever owned where the acceleration is so powerful that I am literally hanging onto the steering wheel when the pedal is right down... you know, like a horse that has bolted?

As for acceleration:
In my SL600 I have hit the speed limiter so fast that it has pulled me forward in the chair.
With the top down, surprisingly enough it wasn't that bad in the cabin.
