My 97 SL-600 w/45K Miles
Just got it in May. My first Benz & I couldn't be happier with it.
Runs every bit as good as it looks. Just got the new 18" chrome AMG's 2 weeks ago.
Yokohama Avids 245-40-18 x 8.5 fronts 97W - 275-35-18 x 9.5 rears 95W
Of course hangin at the gas station. It's ALWAYS Shell V-Power for the V12.

Ad Man - Wow Dude!!!
That is a real beauty. If you are like me, I even drive my SL topless at night even when the weather gets down into the 50s. There is something about the cool night air, etc...
I'd like to put the hard top back on Lisa to protect it during the winter. Do you use the hard top for yours?

Such a cool car !!!
JLC5....Thanks for the nice words. I was lucky to get it with low miles (43.5K), it was well taken care of, I knew of the previous owner & I'm just continuing the process.
Just got it May 15th.
Drove it home pulled in the garage, took the hard top off & I have no idea when I'll ever put it back on. It is a convertible
As you know, with the heated seats it's not a problem driving in the cooler temps with the top down
I also notice the Benz runs much cooler in the cooler temps. The V-12 likes the the cooler temps. DUH!! Seriously, my temp gauge doesn't go over 80 when the temps are below about 60.
With Winter coming it will sit in the garage with the soft top up & a Covercraft car cover on it waiting for Spring.

Welcome Cigarette.888
We'd love to see your baby.
The best way to post big pics of your Mercedes that I know of is to use Photo Bucket.
1st, create an account in Photo Bucket. (Photo Bucket is an entirely separate program from this forum so you'll have to google it and register with them to create an account, etc.)
2nd, upload your photos there.
3rd, come back to our forum and import the URL of your photos on Photo Bucket.
Look at my pictures above to see what you'll get.
Awesome, fullscreen photos!!!
All the best to you Cigarette.888

Actually had a "Check Engine" light come on this week, but it was just the exhaust gas recirculation pipe that was dirty. As we've just done away with AirCare exams in Hongcouver (another useless way to ease bucks out of our wallets!) I don't care if I'm polluting a tiny bit more than normal!

Nice to hear that someone likes it.
Its a 500 from 1995 with only 68000 miles on it (if i converted it right)
Lowered with Einbach coilovers, So no Airride.
20 inch rims, 8.5/9.5 with ET 20 both front and rear.
245/30 fron tires, I could have gone with 235
And 265/30 rear, Could have gone 275.
The ride comfort is BETTER then with the OEM 17 inch rims.. I´t sounds impossible.. But it really is! More stabile.
I haven´t taken the pictures myself.
