Adaptive Damping System (ADS) Optional by special order ADS automatically selects one of four damping profiles every time a wheel changes its direction of up-down travel. ADS also includes automatic 4-wheel level control, driver-selectable ride height with speed-sensitive automatic lowering and a driver-selectable sport mode.
I believe ADS was not available until at least 2000 in SL500's. 600's, I don't know.
If it is on my baby, it is a secret to me, because I don't have any way to select the right height that I know of.
