SL/R129: Window issue on '97 SL600.

Window issue on '97 SL600.
Hi guys-
I had to disconnect the battery on my 1997 SL600 to do some work on the suspension.
After getting that done, I put the battery back in the car and reconnected everything.
For some reason the windows don't "drop" 1/4" when I open the door.
They did drop before I removed the battery, but now they don't.
What could have happened to cause this?
Any insight would be welcomed.

Just need to re-sync the system... procedure is in the manual. My manual is in the car, and I don't feel like getting it. Or, just do a search. This is a common issue.
Good luck, when I replaced my battery, the roll bar and soft top would not work. The dealer had to clear a bunch of oddities out of memory. Somewhat of a nightmare.

I looked in the manual and tried to re-sync. the system.
I hit the lock/unlock button on the key twice and then put the key in the ignition and turned it to position 2.
Still no luck.
Am I doing something wrong?

Wrong re-sync, thats for the key recode not windows. I think its something like put windows down and keep holding the down button for 10 seconds after they are down, its something like that. Give it a try, it won't damage anything...
