Air condition flow problem

Hi all,

I have a SL320 from 1998. I think I have a problem with the air filter of the A/C.

Sometimes, the flow of the air decrease (the power), but I don't touch any button of the console. After a few minutes, the flow of the air increases automatically, to the correct flow power... I don't know why is the reason... probably the filter is dirty... I don't know!!!!!

It happens when the car stops or when the car starts. It must be due to the movement of the car, when taking a curve or something thus.

Could help me somebody?

Thank you very much.
Regards,
Jorge Ruano

Sounds like your evaporator temperature sensor may be working only intermittently.

I have had that "issue" with my A/C for 10+ years in my 91 500sl...

If I recall correctly, I believe the delay in air flow is due to "valves" opening / closing and pressurizing (?) when you start the car and turn on the A/C.

I do not think it is anything to worry about.
