SL/R129: Relay problem on 91 500 SL

Relay problem on 91 500 SL
I was recently told that my relay swtich could be faulty because my dash iunstruments, four-way blinkers, and interior lights are out...being a novice when it comes to automotive repair I was wondering the following 2 questions:
1. Does this sound like an accurate assessment of the problem, are there any other possibilities for the problem?
2. What is the best way to go about replacement and how much should I expect to pay?
